This scheme is only for companies who already hold the LPCB/BRE LPS 1204 certification (Fixed Extinguishing Systems) and wish to register with BAFE. You cannot register to this scheme without this certification.
How to register to BAFE Fixed Extinguishing Systems SP202 (LPS 1204) Scheme
Check requirements. Do you hold the Fixed Extinguishing Systems LPS 1204 certification?
If yes, proceed to step 2. If not and you would like your company to be certified in the design, installation, commissioning and maintenance of Fixed Gaseous Fire Suppression Systems please see our BAFE Fixed Gaseous Fire Suppression Systems SP203-3 Scheme for more information.
Complete the SP202 (LPS 1204) Application Form (This can be filled out on the Word document and sent back via email or print out and sent via post). With this you need to include a copy of your current LPS 1204 certificate.
Once your company has been approved and registered with BAFE you will be sent a welcome pack including your BAFE certificate. At this point you will be allowed to display the correct BAFE logo that relates to your scheme. Contact BAFE for digital versions of logos relating to your scheme for use on web/print/vehicles.
Your company will then be added to the BAFE website, which will enable all users searching for Third Party Certified BAFE registered fire protection companies to access your company’s information.
You will then be sent an invoice for the BAFE annual fee of £280+VAT which is charged pro-rata for the first year.
Legal obligations nationwide require the appointed responsible person for fire safety for commercial/non-domestic premises to have adequate fire protection.
