Stephen is the Chief Executive of BAFE, responsible for all aspects of the day to day management, marketing and for developing product markets in the Fire Safety industry.
He has a wide commercial background, together with Trade Association experience in the security industry as Membership and Marketing Director of BSIA. He was a regional General Manager of Thorn Fire and Security and also Divisional Managing Director of a specialist print company with wide export activity.
He seeks to ensure wide appreciation of the value of third party certification for fire protection services and to develop the recognition for BAFE quality and independence with registered companies, certification bodies and key industry stakeholders.

Peter is a verifier who joined BAFE in 2001 after a distinguished career in the South Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service where he held the position of Training Manager in the Commercial and Industrial Training Section of the Brigade.
Peter also co-ordinates the examination invigilation and processes that BAFE provides for a number of organisations who offer training for portable fire extinguisher technicians to meet the requirements of BS5306-3.

He is responsible for assessing and verifying technicians regsitered under the BAFE SP101 (Competency of Portable Fire Extinguisher Organisations and Technicians) scheme, ensuring that the high standards demanded by BAFE are regularly monitored and maintained. He works mainly within the North London, Home Counties and Essex areas.

He is one of the team responsible for assessing and verifying the competence of portable fire extinguisher technicians at the initial stages of acceptance for registration of BAFE SP101 (Competency of Portable Fire Extinguisher Organisations and Technicians) scheme and for their ongoing routine assessments.
