Government update in response to the Grenfell Tower tragedy

On the 19th July, a Written Statement by James Brokenshire (Secretary of State for Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government) was released regarding “the critical work the Government is undertaking in response to the tragedy and broader building safety work.”
It provides an update on work the Government is and has been undertaking in response to the Grenfell Tower tragedy and on broader building safety work. It also notes the work of the Competency Working Groups. BAFE is actively participating in those for Installation and Fire Risk Assessment.
